DJ had his D.A.R.E graduation yesterday (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education, sponsored by the local police department). All fifth graders go through this program. Here he is receiving his certificate. They also get a T-shirt.
All the fifth graders write an essay about what they learned in the program. The two best essays are chosen and those students are the "D.A.R.E. winners." DJ was one of those winners. He got a special medal. His essay was about how he "likes his brain cells" and doesn't want to destroy them. He certainly needs all he can get! hahaha
