Asia

I wonder if my other two children feel left out because everything I post is about Jarod! He is just so obsessed with Grandpa and Grandma and Mongolia! It's all he talks about. This is a picture he drew on the board in my classroom. He was teaching my class about the Earth. He drew the Earth, then drew this little tiny square and told them that "this is Asia. Mongolia is in Asia where Grandpa and Grandma are." You can't read it, but the letters in the square spell Asia. He sure put it very close to where it actually is on the globe!!

I wish everyone of you could visit here. I wouldn't recommend it as a vacation spot, but there are some truly unique (and wonderful) things here. We are looking forward to summer and doing some traveling to the countryside. The "seasoned" missionaries can't say enough good about it. All we have experienced is cold and dirt (along with the kindest and most generous people on earth) (family excluded from that) Tell Jarod good job. He did get pretty close. Sister Nielson said she was hoping to see the northern lights when she flew into Mongolia. Apparently we are not far enough north. But she gave the people a great compliment. She said to her, the people here are the northern lights and they are like a beacon on a hill.

My kids love finding Mongolia on the globe too. See, mom and dad being gone is teaching our children world geography LONG before they would have learned it otherwise!
