Jarod the Spy

This picture was so funny, I had to post it. Jarod was running around after school the other day while I was working telling everyone he was a spy. (I think he was trying to spy on his teacher, Mrs. Wallis). My friend took this picture of him making his "spy face" in her classroom.

I think it looks a little more like an Elvis face. What do you think?

Jarod turns 6

The official Bressler famliy birthday hat. We actually got this in Disneyland for Lindsie's birthday, but it cost enough that now it is the family hat! He wore this to breakfast at IHOP.

Grandma Bressler sent a gift card to Build a Bear. Meet Virgil the Elephant. He is in the army.

The after school surprise and the favorite gift! Mom and Dad took the day off work and put this together while he was at school. It was easier than we thought it would be. Jarod has spent all his time outside on the new tramp the last three days.

The party at Chuck E Cheese. Everyone had a really good time.

And finally, the cake. I wish I could say I made this cake, but I am not talented like my little sis. I have to go buy cakes or they look pretty pathetic!

Elite Eight

Lindsie's academic team has won their first national game (after a 3 week wait!!) to move into the elite eight of the nation. Only three games to go! They play again on April 6. That's Grandpa Geilmann's birthday, so maybe it will be a good luck day.

Sorry, no pics this time. I wasn't able to go!

D.A.R.E.

DJ had his D.A.R.E graduation yesterday (Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education, sponsored by the local police department). All fifth graders go through this program. Here he is receiving his certificate. They also get a T-shirt. All the fifth graders write an essay about what they learned in the program. The two best essays are chosen and those students are the "D.A.R.E. winners." DJ was one of those winners. He got a special medal. His essay was about how he "likes his brain cells" and doesn't want to destroy them. He certainly needs all he can get! hahaha

Help

Everyone say a little prayer for Dean Friday night. First thing Saturday morning he has to take a very important test for his job. For those who don't know, he has taken on the position of media specialist (or in other words, librarian) at Brockbank. He LOVES this job, but he has to either pass the PRAXIS exam or take 30 credits in library/media (which would be awfully expensive for us). He has been studying VERY hard, but is very nervous as this is a difficult exam. Keep your fingers crossed . . . . we'll let you know as soon as we find out if he passes (scores won't be availble until April).

THANX!!

Happy Birthday Daddy

We celebrated Dean's 39th birthday yesterday. Notice the 1/2 cake. No, we did not give him a 1/2 cake. We took it to his work at lunchtime and they ate half. Then we just used the same cake later that night. Cheap, huh. After dinner we all went to the Hale Theatre and saw Phantom. For those of you who are theatre illiterate like me, Phantom is different from Phantom of the Opera. Kind of the same storyline, but totally different music. My kids have seen the movie Phantom of the Opera and love the soundtrack, so we were excited to see the play. We were caught off guard a little when it was so different! But we enjoyed it anyway. Even Jarod sat quietly and watched all 2 1/2 hours! One more year before Daddy hits the big 4-0!

DUDE!?!?! WHAT HAPPENED TO SPRING!?!?!?

Two days ago we were out riding bikes and playing basketball and soccer. Then yesterday it all went downhill!! I am going on strike. I refuse to accept winter back into my life.
