Christmas

Holy cow! Two posts in two days! I must be off work.
Here are some Christmas pictures. We had a fun day today.
It was especially fun to Skype with Grandma and Grandpa and talk to Marcia! All of our great missionaries! We love and miss you.
Since we don't have family to hang out with on Christmas with everyone gone, we decided to go to the movies and see Alvin and the Chipmunks, the Squeakquel. It was cute, but boy there were a LOT of big families with a LOT of kids there. We were surprised to see it so crowded on Christmas! It was fun.
My little dress-up man now has a new favorite costume. Ho-ho-ho. Would you like to sit on his lap and tell him what you want for Christmas? Sad story - this year he refused to sit on Santa's lap. He says he is "too big" for that. I have to keep him a baby a little longer somehow!!!!

We couldn't have found a more perfect shirt for Lindsie to wear on Christmas.

Making Christmas candy for the neighbors. We made chocolate cinnamon Santas. That was fun!

Wait a minute . . . where did everybody go!! The chocolates are all made and everyone disappears when it's time to clean the mess! FIGURES!!! : )

Chrismas morning - the "before" picture.

Checking out gifts from Santa.

The "after" picture. What a mess!

Rockstars. Daddy is the biggest rockstar, but he disappears when the camera comes out. Grandma and Grandpa heard him singing this morning! Too funny. What a good dad - he really gets into it with the kids.

Catch Up

Ok, so no, I didn't disappear. I just forgot how much work it is to work full time and still do all the other things I like to do (like keeping my blog up to date!) So here are some pictures. And I HATE this new program that blog uses because I can't get it to work right and when I try to use the old version, my pictures come up as HTML language instead of images. So if anybody has any tips for me I'll take them!!

Here we are playing at Jason's house. My kids think they are quite the little "rockers" now. Guess we have to buy Rock Band for Christmas. Thanks Jason. Just kidding. It really is a fun game. Even us boring adults gave it a shot and liked it. So hopefully my kids don't look at this blog until after Christmas.

Take a look at tongue boy here. Everytime he is concentrating, his tongue is hanging out. His bottom lip is always chapped! He looks like Michael Jordan when he plays basketball with that tongue hanging out! But that is for a later blog.

Ok, I sort of got a picture of Amy at the Christmas party. I don't think she is hiding from the camera, I just think she is talking to Darren. But that's the closest I got of a picture of her. Andy Rebecca, you managed to stay off camera it appears. I'll try twice as hard on Sunday to get you on film!

Here is Carter who apparently REALLY enjoyed his cupcake.

And then there's my grouchy face brother giving me the evil eye.

Here's the fam enjoying the yummy food. Don't think anyone left hungry!

These are the gifts from Grandma and Grandpa all wrapped up and ready to go.

And here they are unwrapped. I think they turned out really nice. Hopefully I'll get mine soon!

Hey, I think maybe I'm starting to get the hang of this blog. A little. At least I have figured out how to get text in between the pictures!

Here we are decorating the tree. We actually went to a tree farm and cut our own tree after we went to the Festival of Trees at Southtowne. It was really fun! I can't find the pictures of that, though. We have too many memory cards floating around.

All done!!

Mommy's birthday. And yes, Jason, I am older than you. That just makes me smarter and better looking.

Random Stuff

I finally got my memory card back from Dean's work, so here are some random pictures from the past month.

First, here are some of Jarod playing football.

Running after the ball carrier.

A good block, if the other coach would just get out of the way!

His big kick off (when there was no team to receive the kick.) You can just see Jarod's brown shorts.

Here is Lindsie at her Pizzazz concert.  Cute dress!

Happy Birthday Lindsie!

Jarod gave her a shirt to wear to go see New Moon, and DJ gave her tickets to the show.  It's at 2:30 A.M. (yes, you read right) tomorrow night.

Carving pumpkins for Halloween.

This is the breakfast that Jarod (aka Anakin Skywalker) made for us for breakfast.  Notice the pumpkin pancakes, ghost bacon, and "bloody" eggs (his words, not mine).  He is becoming quite a chef.

This one is for Rebecca.  Yes, Jarod really does cook hamburgers or hotdogs for the family on his night.  He stands on a cooler so he can reach.  He does a dang good job, too!

CAUGHT!!

Joey's favorite thing to do is get up on the table after we have eaten dinner to see if there are any scraps left for him.  He gets in BIG trouble when he gets up there, so he hasn't done it for awhile.  Tonight we left right after dinner to run to the store.  This is what we found when we got back.  Don't know how well you can see, but these are little muddy doggy footprints all over my kitchen table!  He thought he was being so sneaky waiting until after we left, but he didn't realize that since it is raining outside, his feet got muddy when he went out!

Oh, man.  BUSTED!!  Now I'm in trouble.  How did they know?

Here are some videos of Lindsie's play. I had to cut them kind of short to get them loaded, but at least you can get the idea! She did a really cute job.

We have all had this song stuck in our heads for days!!

She plays this part a little too well. Maybe too much "practice" at home!!

This is the end of the play. Watch closely and you will see her get "thrown." We were teasing her because she actually made it through an entire play without injury, and then she jumped into the boys arms a little short and just about ended up on her bottom!!

Eee Gads!!

I haven't blogged for awhile. My husband keeps taking the camera back to his work and then doesn't give me back my memory card with all my pictures for blogging! So somewhere I have pics of the boys playing football, halloween and Lindsie's birthday! Eventually I will get them on here.
Last month my little girl turned 15! Eee gads is right. Where does the time go? She will soon be driving and dating, and she tells me she will be going away to college before I know it. And she is all that a teenage girl should be - moody, sassy, lazy . . .
Ha! Just kidding Lindsie. She is more than that. We are very lucky to have a child who is faithful and loves her Heavenly Father, even if she won't stay this cute little girl:
I'll get some pictures of her birthday later. For now, here are some pictures from her current play The Music Man. We do have video, but once again, Dean has it at work. It took three girls about 1 1/2 hours to get all the little ringlets in her hair! But she sure looked cute. She played Zenida - the mayor's rebellious daughter (she was type cast I'm sure!)
This boy played the town troublemaker and her boyfriend. He plays her boyfriend in real life too (ee gads again). He seems to be a good kid who treats her nice. Except last night when she came home in tears because he was being a "poo head." I told her all boys are "poo heads."
She lead the "town" in several dances with her "boyfriend."
She had to learn to twirl a batton and she did very well! In case you haven't seen Music Man (I hadn't before last night), Lindsie's line in the play is "Eee gads" many times.
The play was so cute. I wish Grandma and Grandpa could have seen it. We'll get that video to you one way or another as soon as I can get it from Dean.
